What RTA actually means
An RTA cabinet arrives flat-packed instead of pre-built. The parts are cut, drilled and finished at the factory; you assemble the box on site. Nothing about the material changes. You still get plywood boxes and solid-wood doors, and soft-close hardware on our core lines. What changes is who does twenty minutes of assembly per box, and that is where the savings come from.
It also means the boxes fit through a normal doorway and up a staircase without a fight, which matters more than people expect in older San Antonio homes and second-floor apartments.
Who RTA makes sense for

If assembly is not your idea of a good weekend, we also sell the same cabinets pre-assembled, and our own crews install with a 3-year workmanship warranty in the greater San Antonio area. RTA is an option, not the only option.
What you get in the box
Every RTA kit comes with the panels cut and pre-drilled, the doors and drawer fronts finished, the hinges and slides, and the fasteners. You supply a screwdriver or drill, a level, and a bit of floor space to work on. Most people find the first box takes a while and the rest go quickly once the pattern clicks.
You are choosing from the same five collections and 36 finishes as the rest of the store. Shaker White, Shaker Gray and Navy Blue are in stock; the other finishes run about one to two weeks.
Pricing and planning
Our 10x10 cabinet packages start at $1,750. That is a standard 10x10 kitchen's worth of cabinets, not a whole finished kitchen, and it does not include countertops, appliances or labor. Every quote we write is a free itemized estimate so you can see exactly what is in it.
Before you order, lay the kitchen out. Our free 3D designer lets you build the room and see the cabinet run before anything is paid for, and our measuring guide walks you through getting the numbers right. Measuring twice is cheaper than reordering a wall cabinet.
Delivery and pickup
Pick up at 5601 Bandera Rd, Suite 100, or have it delivered up to 250 miles from San Antonio, which covers Austin, New Braunfels, Boerne, Seguin, Corpus Christi and the Hill Country. Flat-packed boxes stack efficiently, so an RTA order usually takes less truck space than the same kitchen pre-assembled.
