Free design help, two ways to start
Plenty of people walk into a cabinet showroom already a little stressed, holding a phone full of Pinterest screenshots and no idea whether their galley kitchen can actually fit an island. Our job at the design consultation is to take that pile of half-ideas and turn it into a layout you can build. It costs nothing, and we are not going to push you toward the most expensive line on the floor.
You can start two ways, and most folks do both. Online, our free 3D kitchen designer lets you rough out your room from your couch, swap door styles and finishes in real time, and see roughly where the budget lands before you ever drive over. In person, you come to our showroom at 5601 Bandera Rd, Suite 100, just off the Leon Valley stretch of NW San Antonio, and we sit down together to refine the plan, open and close real doors, and feel the difference between a soft-close drawer and a builder-grade one.
The in-showroom session is where the details get nailed down: confirming measurements, choosing the door style and finish across our five collections and 30-plus finishes, picking granite or quartz for the counters, sorting out knobs and pulls, and landing on a budget that matches what you actually want to spend. By the end you walk out with a free itemized estimate, not a vague ballpark.
- No design fee and no obligation to buy
- Free online 3D kitchen designer you can use anytime, day or night
- In-person session at the Bandera Rd showroom to finalize the details
- Covers kitchens, bathroom vanities, countertops, and cabinet hardware layout
- You leave with a free, itemized estimate in writing
How the free 3D kitchen designer works
The online designer is built for normal people, not architects. You enter your room dimensions, drop in your walls and windows, and start placing cabinets where they make sense. As you go, you can switch door styles and finishes and watch the whole kitchen update on the spot, so you are not guessing what Shaker White looks like next to a dark counter, you are looking at it.
It is genuinely useful for the questions that keep people up at night. Will a 36-inch range still leave room to walk? Does the corner want a lazy Susan or a blind cabinet? How much does the look change if you go navy on the island and white on the perimeter? You can test all of that yourself, no appointment required, and the design saves so we can pull it up when you visit.
When you are ready, send your design over or bring it in and we review it with you. We will flag anything that will not work in the real world, suggest cabinet sizes you may have missed, and translate the 3D plan into an itemized list of cabinets, counters, and hardware with a real price. Think of the online tool as your first draft and the showroom session as the edit.
What to bring to your showroom session
You do not need a perfect plan to come in, but a few things make the visit go faster and the estimate sharper. The single most helpful item is measurements: wall lengths, ceiling height, and the location of windows, doorways, and any spot where a water line or vent has to stay put so we can design the cabinet run around it. A rough hand sketch on a piece of paper is completely fine.
Photos help us picture the room you are actually working with, especially the corners and the awkward bits. And if you have inspiration images, a finish you fell in love with, or a screenshot of a counter you keep coming back to, bring those too. The more we can see what is in your head, the closer the first plan lands.
- Rough measurements of each wall, plus ceiling height
- Where windows, doorways, and existing water lines or vents sit
- A few photos of the current kitchen or bath, corners included
- Inspiration images, finishes, or counter colors you like
- A rough budget range, even a loose one, so we can plan around it
Straight talk on budget and timeline
A design consultation is only useful if it ends with honest numbers, so here is where we start. A standard 10x10 kitchen of cabinets begins at $1,750, and from there your finish, layout, and counter choices move the figure. We put every line on the estimate so you can see exactly what is driving the cost and decide where to spend and where to save. That estimate is always free.
On timing, once your design is set and your order is placed, typical turnaround runs about one to three weeks. We deliver across Texas, and if you are the hands-on type, we also offer ready-to-assemble kits so you can build them yourself. The design session is the right place to talk through which path fits your project, your schedule, and your comfort level with a screwdriver. No pressure either way, just a plan that works for your kitchen.
